توضیحاتی راجع به ممبراین

ممبراین ها باغشاهای نیمه تراوا یکی از اصلی ترین اجرای سیستم تصفیه آب اسمز معکوس (RO) می باشند . ممبراین یک لایه نازک کامپوزیتی است که از سه قسمت تشکیل شده است . لایه محافظ پلی استری نگه دارنده رطوبت ، لایه داخلی از جنس پلی سلفون بسیار ریز و یک لایه بسیار نازک پلی آمید که برروی سطح ممبراین کشیده می شود . در یک ممبراین RO ضخامت لایه محافظ 50 میکرون و دیواره با ضخامت 20 میکرون می باشد . تمامی این لایه ها از جنس بسیار مقاوم در برابر خوردگی و تغییر شیمیایی ساخته شده اند . ممبراین نیمه تراوا بین دو قسمت قرار می گیرد .پدیده ی اسمز وقتی اتفاق می افتد که آب خالص از یک محلول نمکی رقیق ، پس از عبور از میان ممبراین به سمت محلول نمکی با غلظت بالاتر در بخش دیگر جاری شود و سبب افزایش ارتفاع محلول نمکی در قسمت غلیظ تر می گردد . جریان آب وقتی قطع می شود که فشار ستون محلول نمکی با اختلاف پتانسیل شیمیایی بین دو محلول آبی برابر شود . نقطه تعادل برای ارتفاع ستون آب در غالب فشار آب واردشده برروی ممبراین ، فشار اسمزی نامیده می شود . اگر نیروی به این ستون از آب وارد گردد ، مسیر جریان آب از میان ممبراین می تواند برعکس شود ، این پدیده اسمز معکوس نامیده می شود . چنین جریان معکوسی که سبب تولید آب خالص از محلول نمکی می شود ، به علت این است که ممبراین اجازه عبور به نمک را نمی دهد و فقط ذرات آب خالص از آن عبور می کند .n
