تعریف آب آشامیدنی ( فرامعدنی ) :
آب آشامیدنی آب گوارایی است که عوامل فیزیکی ، شیمیایی ، بیولوژیکی آن در حدی باشد که معرف آن عارضه سویی در کوتاه مدت یا دراز مدت در انسان ایجاد ننماید .
آب آشامیدنی بسته بندی شده یا فرامعدنی که جهت آشامیدن مورد مصرف انسان قرار می گیرد ممکن است حاوی مواد مصرفی ، دی اکسید کربن co2 ( که به طور طبیعی در آن وجود دارد و یا به طریق مصنوعی به آن اضافه شده است ) باشد ولی حاوی مواد شیرین کننده ، مواد طعم دهنده و یا سایر مواد افزودنی غذایی نیست .
نکته : آیا می دانید آب آشامیدنی بسته بندی شده یک ماده غذایی سالم محسوب می گردد .
آب آشامیدنی را از چشمه ها ، قنات ها و یا چاه های عمیق استخراج می کنند و انواع تصفیه مربوط به آب فرامعدنی شامل :
کلیه فراوریهای فیزیکی ، حرارتی ، شیمیایی یا ضد میکروبی ایمن و مناسب و مجاز است .
این فراوریها می توانند به تنهایی یا ترکیبی مورد استفاده قرار گیرند . هرنوع فرآوری ضد میکروبی انجام شده نباید ترکیبات اولیه آب را تغییر داده یا ترکیبات ثانویه در آب ایجاد نماید .
تعریف آب معدنی :
آبهای معدنی مستقیما از چشمه های طبیعی و یا نقاط حفر شده از طبقات زیر زمینی جریان دارند و حاوی نسبتهای متناسبی از املاح معدنی معین و عناصر می باشند ، اینگونه آبها در همان نزدیکی مظهر چشمه و با رعایت اصول بهداشتی بطری شده و برای مصرف حمل می شوند .
