مراسم افتتاحیه بهره برداری از سد مخزنی حاجی آباد قائن در استان خراسان برگزار شد. دکتر رضا اردکانیان معاون امور آب وزارت نیرو در این مراسم یکی از محوری ترین برنامه های دولت را مهار آب در کشور ذکر کردو اظهار داشت: در دوره ی 8ساله خاتمی عملیات احداث بیش از 40 سد مخزنی بزرگ به اتمام رسیده است و امسال نیز در تاریخ تأمین و مهار آبهای سطحی کشور یک سال استثنایی خواهد بود.
وی گفت: امسال قادر خواهیم بود 15 درصد سد مخزنی را به مرحله بهره برداری برسانیم و 8سد مخزنی بزرگ دیگر را آبگیری کنیم که در مجموع 3 میلیارد متر مکعب به حجم آب های قابل تنظیم کشور اضافه خواهدشد ضمن اینگه عملیلت اجرایی 20 سد مخزنی آغاز می شود. وی تعداد انرژی برق آبی را که از سال 57 تاکنون به اتمام رسیده و در حال بهره برداری است، 60 طرح یا حجم آب قابل تنظیم 32 میلیارد متر مکعب عنوان نمودکه در مقایسه با 13 سد احداث شده تا سال 57 با حجم آب قابل تنظیم 13 میلیارد متر مکعب توفیق بسیار بزرگی دانست که نصیب این مردم و کشور شده است.دکتر اردکانیان در ادامه به انرژی تولید برق آبی سدهای کشور اشاره نمود و گفت:ظرفیت نصب شده برق کشور رد ابتدای انقلاب 7 هزار مگاوات که 1800 مگاوات آن سهم انرژی برق آبی بود و امروز ظرفیت نصب شده برق کشور 133 هزار مگاوات است.
