این روش یکی از بهترین و مناسبترین روشهای تصفیه آب در جهان می باشد.در ابتدا در کشور امریکا توسعه یافت تا آب تازه ای را برای نیروی دریایی این کشور تهیه کنند. آب تو لید شده از طریق دستگاههای RO بقدری سالم و پاکیزه است که در صنایع دارو سازی و تولیدات تکنولوژی بالا نیز مورد استفاده قرار می گیرد.
تعریف انواع آب آشامیدنی:
آب استاندارد: 1) آبی است که دارای املاح معدنی مفید مثل کلسیم ، پتاسیم ، سدیم و… باشد.
2) عاری از کلر باشد .
3) عاری از هرنوع کیست ، باکتری و ویروس باشد .
4) عاری از هرگونه مواد شیمیایی مضر باشد مانند حشره کشها ، علف کشها فنولها هیدروکربنهای معطر ، متانهای سه هالوژنه ، کلروفرم
5) ترجیحا PH آن خنثی یابه سمت قلیایی سیرکند .(آب قلیایی)
1) فیلتر الیافی : P.P حذف ذرات معلق در آب تا 5 میکرون ورفع کدورت آب (زمان تعویض :3 الی 6 ماه)
2) فیلتر کربن پودری U.D.F حذف کلر ،مواد شیمیایی ،رنگ تری هالومتان ها و سموم آفات نباتی(زمان تعویض : 6 الی9 ماه)
3) فیلتر کربن بلاک :C.T.O حذف کلر ، مواد شیمیایی ، رنگ تری هالو متان ها ، سموم آفات نباتی (زمان تعویض : 6الی 9 ماه)
4)فیلتر غشای اسمزمعکوس (ممبراین ) حذف کلیه املاح مضر ، سختی ، نیترات ، نیتریت ،جیوه ،آلودگی های میکروبی وشوری آب (زمان تعویض : 2الی 5/2 سال)
