– ازون چیست ؟
ازون گازی است تقریبا بی رنگ با بوی ترش با قدرت اکسیداسیون بالا. مولکول ازون پایدار نبوده و در نتیجه نمی توان آن را انبار یا حمل نمود . این امر باعث می گردد که تولید ازون همواره در محل انجام گیرد . لذا مرحله حمل و انبار مواد شیمیایی در این روش حذف می شود .

بر خلاف کلر و مواد شیمیایی دیگر ، اکسیداسیون بوسیله ازون ، هیچگونه مواد سمی یا مضر در آب بجای نمیگذارد و نیاز به پالایش مجدد آب ندارد . تجربه نشان داده است که ازون سریعا اجزای محلول در محیط را اکسید می نماید و حاصل این اکسیداسیون تنها اکسید اجزا و اکسیژن می باشد لذا برای استفاده در مواردی که عناصر باقی مانده دیگر ممکن است مشکلات جنبی دیگر بوجود آورند مناسب می باشد . مولکول ازون پایدار نیست و پس از مدت کوتاهی شکسته می شود و تبدیل به مولکول پایدار اکسیژن می گردد .
