طبق استاندارد ( ویژگیهای میکروبیولوژیکی آب ) ایران میزان کلر آزاد باقی مانده در انتهای شبکه آبرسانی در شرایط عادی 0٫8 – 0٫5 میلی گرم در لیتر ( PPM ) می باشد. و این زمانی است که , زمان تماس کلر با آب حداقل 30 دقیقه ، PH آب مابین 9 – 6٫5 ، تیرگی آب (کدورت ) حداکثر 5 NTU باشد .
لذا میزان تزریق کلر توسط کلرزن را باید طوری تنظیم نمائیم که کلر باقی مانده آزاد مابین 0٫8 – 0٫5 باشد. و این در صورتی است که شبکه آبرسانی ما شرایط فوق را دارا باشد.(زمان تماس،PH،کدورت)
جهت افزایش و یا کاهش میزان کلر تزریقی به شبکه آب می توان با چرخاندن پیچ دبی پمپ تزریق (فقط در زمان روشن بودن پمپ ) از صفر تا 100 درصد میزان تزریق را افزایش داد و یا برعکس.ودر صورت عدم جوابگو بودن پیچ دبی می توان با کم و یا زیاد ریختن پودر کلر، به داخل مخزن دستگاه ، میزان تزریق کلر را تنظیم نمود.
